Hemp and CBD: The basics.
Let’s look at the differences in hemp and marijuana. These are two separate plants of the same family Cannabis. There are many different compounds found in cannabis plants, called more than 0.3% THC. It is legal in all 50 US states.
OK, but what about CBD Oil?
CBD oil is the extracted cannabinoid of cannabidiol found in either the hemp or the marijuana plant. CBD oil is available in isolate form. This means all other cannabinoids or terpenes are removed.
CBD oil from the marijuana plants can contain higher levels THC and get people high. This CBD oil cannot be legally consumed in certain countries or under certain circumstances. “Cannabis Oil” is often the name given to CBD oil from marijuana. CBD oil from hemp contains 0.3% THC and won’t get your high.
Accessibility is an excellent way to check if the CBD oils you purchase are from hemp or marijuana. Since high-THC CBD CBD is not legal everywhere, or in any other dispensaries, the majority of CBD oil that can be purchased online and over the internet is from hemp.
Broad-spectrum
Broad-spectrum CBD products contain all known cannabinoids. Terpenes are excluded. These products claim to be “THC-free” or contain 0.00% THC, and although that sounds great on paper it can actually reduce the health benefits of cannabis.
Remember that even though the full spectrum hemp products don’t contain any THC (less 0.03%), they can enhance the entourage effect. This can lead to stress management benefits and increased productivity. * If you are concerned about THC even at small doses of the product, then broad-spectrum might be a better choice.
CBD isolate
CBD isolate can be described as pure CBD. CBD is the only cannabinoids or terpenes left after they have been removed. CBD isolates are often called “pure” or “99% Pure CBD.”
Be aware: Although these products provide CBD, they also have the potential to cause side effects such as terpenes and cannabinoids.
